Delete Your Data
1. Your on-device data (favourites & visited)
The cafés you saved as favourites or marked as visited are stored only in the app's local database on your device. To delete them:
- Open CatNav → Saved → tap the heart / visited mark on each café to remove it, or
- Clear the app's storage in Android Settings → Apps → CatNav → Storage → Clear data, or
- Uninstall the app — this removes all local data.
2. Suggestions you sent us
If you used "Suggest an edit", the note is stored anonymously alongside the café it relates to (we deliberately don't collect names or email addresses with notes). We keep suggestions only as long as needed to review and improve the directory, then delete them.
3. Your account (only if you signed in)
Sign-in is optional and stores a small account on our server (Supabase): your email address, a display name derived from it, the cafés you follow, your visit diary, and any café claims, posts or reports you made. Approved posts you wrote are public by design.
- To delete everything: email support@cloudyni.com from the account's email address with the subject "Delete my account". We remove your profile, follows, visit diary, claims and reports, and unpublish or remove your posts — usually within 30 days.
- To delete a single café post or claim: tell us which one in the same email.
4. Analytics & advertising
Anonymous analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) and ad identifiers (AdMob) are managed through Google. To limit or delete them: open Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (opt out of ad personalisation or reset your advertising ID), or use Google's My Activity / analytics opt-out tools. Where legally required, we only collect these with your consent in the first place.
5. Request deletion from us
If you believe we hold personal data about you and want it deleted, email support@cloudyni.com from the address you're concerned about and tell us what you'd like removed. We respond within 30 days and confirm when the deletion is done. Account data is retained only until you ask us to delete it; approved posts may be kept only as long as needed for moderation or legal reasons, then removed or anonymised.
